6 Most Unique Hotels in the US

Spread the love

It might not be easy to decide where to stay in the United States due to the wide variety of cities and the abundance of high-quality hotels. In light of this, we’ve compiled a list of the most interesting hotels in the United States, as determined by professional travelers and travel bloggers.

Most of us focus on the destination while planning a vacation, seeking out locations that provide a variety of engaging activities and sights to see. The delicious cuisine and the unique culture are important factors in our travels. We also make it a point to visit unusual places and accommodations when we travel, whether a museum, a landmark, or a hotel. For this reason, we contacted these industry insiders, asking them to recommend the most interesting and offbeat hotels in the United States.

Sheldon Chalet in Denali National Park, AK

A natural amphitheater of mile-high mountain peaks forms the backdrop to the luxurious Sheldon Chalet, built on top of a massive granite cliff on Ruth Glacier in the heart of Denali National Park in Alaska.

During the day, you may go on an adventure on the glacier, where you can make new snow footprints or scale ice cliffs to see the 3,000-foot depths of ice below you. Enjoy a meal cooked by a private chef to your specifications at night, using ingredients from the area. The mountains and the way the light hits them are the lodge’s major attractions. Thus the structure was designed to take full use of the scenery.

Clear Sky Resorts’ Luxury Domes

All the acclaim you’ve heard about these “luxury domes” is well-deserved since they are spacious, comfortable, and beautifully designed. Clear Sky Resorts’ domes in the Grand Canyon and Glacier National Park are temperature controlled (unlike tents) yet still provide the outdoorsy feel of traditional camping.

Rain showers, panoramic windows, and a skylight with a telescope for stargazing are standard in each dome. The Welcome Dome is where you may enjoy a delicious meal, a lively happy hour, or some live entertainment. In Arizona and Montana, you may stay in one of these amazing domes and gaze up at the starry expanse above you.

Cape Charles Cottage

This secluded villa is not only stunning but also has its island! That’s correct; the Kiptopeke region of Virginia is home to a villa on an island. Once used as a fishing lodge, this quaint home with four bedrooms dates back to the 1910s. The region is now well-known as a kayaker’s paradise.

Though the modernized inside is nice, the property’s overall attractiveness is increased by the wraparound porch, which has a gas grill. This cabin is located on an island teeming with animals and scenic beauty. Relax and unwind in solitude at this secluded property, with its beach.

The Venetian – Las Vegas

There aren’t many hotels like The Venetian Resort Las Vegas elsewhere in the United States. This is one of the finest hotels on the famous Las Vegas Strip. It’s massive, with 36 floors and 7,000 guestrooms. The hotel’s design is one of its distinguishing features. There are many similarities between this resort and the Italian city of Venice. This is evident in the design of the buildings and the amenities provided. There is also a canal that may be mistaken for one in Venice. Incredibly, gondola rides are available here.

The Saint Hotel in New Orleans, LA

The hedonistic atmosphere for which New Orleans is famous is alive and well in this hotel in the French Quarter. The “naughty antics” of burlesque are performed weekly at their sultry Burgundy Bar, decorated with red light chandeliers and deep crimson walls.

In the magnificent Archangel Lucifer Suite, guests of The Saint Hotel may continue along the road of pleasure-seeking, or they can “sleep holily” in one of the hotel’s other angelic-themed accommodations. Alluring in deep crimson, this suite is furnished with Victorian-era antiques, has a bathtub lined with black Carrera marble, and features large photos of boudoir scenes that may motivate you to put on your performance.

Great Wolf Lodge – Massachusetts

We had a great time at the Great Wolf Lodge in Massachusetts, one of the most unusual places we’ve been to throughout our travels around the United States. Great Wolf Lodge is a chain of family resorts throughout the United States, each including an indoor waterpark and outstanding family entertainment. It’s great for families since there’s fun for kids of all ages, from infants to teenagers.

It’s a one-stop shop for fun, from an indoor water park to arcade games to bowling lanes, climbing structures to kid-friendly restaurants. This resort, which includes a wolf as its principal symbol and a forest setting, stands out because of its kid-friendly themed suites.

The Wolf Den suite was perfect for our family since it had a “wolf den” with bunk beds, which gave us the feeling of sleeping in a log house in the woods. Imagine a kid-friendly hotel room outfitted like a clubhouse. It was a huge hit with our children. Suites with other themes include the KidCabin Suites, the Grizzly Wolf Suites, and the Bear Cub Suites. Lastly, read more about travel around the world here.
