All the Places Where Gossip Girl Was Shot in NYC!

Spread the love

The real-life settings from the CW’s “Gossip Girl” are easy to find in New York City. This CW Network sitcom, which ran from 2007 to 2012, starred Kristen Bell, Blake Lively, Leighton Meester, Penn Badgley, Chace Crawford, Taylor Momsen, and Kelly Rutherford and featured several locations across Manhattan.

The Campbell Apartment

Drop by Campbell Apartment, located just below Grand Central Terminal, while you’re in the area. Maybe you and your partner can reenact the season one passionate encounter between Nate and Serena here.

Metropolitan Museum of Art

Blair (Leighton Meester) and her pals often have lunch on the steps of the Metropolitan Museum of Art. The school and the Metropolitan Museum of Art are roughly 20 streets apart on the Upper East Side, but the presentation makes them appear right next to one other.

Grand Central Terminal

You might argue that everything began with Serena’s return to New York City since it was the catalyst for the whole plot and the chain of circumstances that would ultimately determine her destiny. The appropriately named railway station was used for shooting many episodes of Gossip Girl, and naturally, she made quite the entrance.

It’s constantly bustling with people, making great picture ops at the clock tower and plaza. To avoid becoming a target for pickpockets while setting down your camera to snap a selfie, consider bringing a companion or going on a tour where people are more than happy to take pictures of each other.

Henri Bendel

The Henri Bendel @ 712 Fifth Avenue location is often featured as a favorite of the characters. As it turns out, Henri Bendel was the real-life location of the Season 2 Premiere Party of “Gossip Girl,” and the store provided several of the costumes and accessories used in the show, including the prom gowns worn by Serena and Blair. Jenny Humphrey’s “fashion emergency” while shopping for a dress for the Kiss on the Lips Party is filmed at Henri Bendel, where Jenny works as a stylist. Even though Henri Bendel has closed, you may still visit the store’s surviving exterior and imagine yourself in a “Gossip Girl” episode.

The Campbell Bar

Serena van der Woodsen’s (Blake Lively) infamous hook-up with Nate Archibald (Chace Crawford), so of her best friend, Blair Waldorf, occurred in this legendary New York City pub housed within Grand Central Terminal, once known as The Campbell Apartment. This impressive room was formerly the office and reception hall of Jazz Age banker John W. Campbell, and it has a stone fireplace, elegant light fixtures, and a soaring, hand-painted ceiling that measures 25 feet in height. The Gerber Group just renovated the area, so now you can enjoy the Bar, the Palm Court, and the Terrace. A Cold Brew Martini and other creative drinks will set you back a pretty penny, and so will the bar’s selection of hors d’oeuvres.

The Hotel Palace

Pretend you’re Serena returning to the Van Der Woodsen mansion, which was filmed at the Lotte New York Palace. You’ll recall several moments when Dan and Nate waited for Serena, the small girl.

Want to put yourself in Serena’s shoes for a little while? The Gossip Girl package at Lotte New York Palace will allow you to experience life as she does. Macarons and Prosecco gummy bears are among the welcoming treats included in the box.

To feel like you’re living big, pop a bottle of champagne. In addition, you’ll get 25% off tickets to the “On Location Gossip Girl Sites Tour” and “Spotted at The Palace” postcards that map all of the shooting sites inside the Lotte Palace, making for great souvenirs.

There’s a hefty price tag, but the beverages are well worth it. It’s terrible that no one can seem to remain together these days, but they return in season five for the Shepherds’ divorce celebration. Take note that the staff is quite strict about guests using flash or bright phone lights within; you’ll want to sneak your photos in.

Empire State Building

Picture Blair finds Chuck Bass with a bouquet of pink roses on the Empire State Building. The sunset was breathtaking, and the image did take place at the peak. When you reserve the appropriate time slot, you may have it, too. You may do this with the convenient CityPASS*or purchase a separate skip-the-line ticket before your visit.

Because Gossip Girl New York Locations were filmed in genuine buildings rather than fictitious ones, fans who aren’t part of the Upper Crust may still enjoy many of the shows’ depictions of the city. Lastly, read more about travel around the world here.
