Eight Beach Destinations in the Caribbean you must visit

Spread the love

The Caribbean is well-known for various things, including its quaint blend of climate and music, its delectable food and beverages, and its welcoming population. In addition, it boasts clear blue waters, brilliant sands, and rustling palms that beach lovers from all over the world fancy.

The area is known for its stunning landscape, which includes picture-perfect cays, islands, and reefs. Islands like the Bahamas, Turks and Caicos, Antigua, Anguilla, and Aruba are well known for their beautiful stretches of coastline. In contrast, other islands offer their versions of the ideal beaches and provide quick access to some of the best Caribbean beach resorts.

However, deciding which sandy strip to visit might be challenging with so many picturesque sandy getaways. This list of the best Caribbean destinations will help you find the proper stretch of fine sand to fulfill your tropical fantasies.

Grace Bay, Turks and Caicos

Arguably the best beach in the world, Grace Bay Beach is a must-visit destination in the Caribbean. The 13-mile stretch of sand offers powder-soft sands and arresting blue waters and is a 19-time holder of the World Travel Award’s World’s Leading Beach, taking first or second place in the competition.

You can swim along the crystalline shallows or go tropical fish darting in the Princes Alexandra Marine Park and enjoy the beaches above and underwater magnificence. If you are lucky, you are bound to spot one or two friendly dolphins swimming along this gorgeous stretch of the coast.

Seven Mile Beach, Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands

Seven Mile Beach makes for one of the best swimmable beaches in the Caribbean, with clear waters and soft, squeaky sand.

Head north to avoid the cruise ship crowds, and sit among the palm trees to listen to the calming slop of mild waves brushing the coast. The top attractions of this famous Cayman Islands beach include turquoise waters and bone-white sand bordered by casuarinas and coconut trees.

If you enjoy clear waters and coral sand, look no farther than Grand Cayman’s Seven Mile Beach. Some of the Cayman Islands’ most lavish hotels and resorts line the beach, and some of the larger resorts offer beach chairs.

Bávaro Beach, Punta Cana, Dominican Republic

Alluring white sands, clear aquamarine waters, and fringed palm trees are the feature that makes Bavaro Beach in Punta Cana popular. The beach stretches for 48 kilometers of silky soft sands, making it one of the best walking beaches in the Caribbean.

Relish a long barefoot walk along the shores as you bask in the sun and relax in the calming ocean breeze. You can also go swimming, snorkeling, sunbathing, kayaking, or parasailing before returning to the comforts of your all-inclusive resort to relax. You can also visit Scape Park, the Golf course and zip lining, and bungee jumping.

Grand Anse, Grenada

Grand Anse Beach is Grenada’s most scenic beach and one of its most popular attractions. Surrounded by coconut palms, almond trees, and sea grape trees, Grand Anse offers a two-mile expanse of fine sand lapped by calm, turquoise waters.

You can relax under the shade of an almond tree for hours and never want to leave the beach’s panoramic views, which are sheltered between verdant hills to the left and right, full of entertaining bars with local culture, and sprinkled with vibrantly colored boats.

Swim in the clear waters and hunt for sea stars, crabs, and small fish in the shallows. If you feel more energized, you can rent out water sports equipment from one of the rentals across the beach and go kayaking. You can also visit the Grand Anse Craft and Spice Market during your walk along the beach and browse for some souvenirs for your loved ones.

Pink Sands Beach, Harbour Island, Bahamas

Popularly known as one of the world’s most beautiful pink sand beaches, Pink Sands Beach is a sight to behold. Located on Harbour Island in the Bahamas, Pink Sands boasts soft, pale pink sands with rosy hues from finely crushed shells. It is one of the top places to visit in the Bahamas.

You can go swimming in the breathtaking aqua waters, sunbathing along the shores on the warm sands, and kayaking out to the reef as you take in the beach’s timeless beauty. Some upscale resorts along the coast offer beach chairs where guests can bask in the sun on this divine stretch of sand.

Trunk Bay, St. John’s, US Virgin Islands

At this Caribbean gem, lush woodland tumbles to a beautiful crescent of the startlingly blue sea. It is nestled inside the Virgin Islands National Park, one of the US Virgin Islands jewels.

Emerald islets dot the bay offshore, and the Trunk Bay Underwater Snorkeling Trail provides superb snorkeling in the clean, mild waters, with up to 30 different types of fish. Underwater signposts identify notable coral reef characteristics.

After a day at the beach, you can go for a hiking expedition on one of the trails and the remnants of medieval sugar plantations. However, visitors must incur an admission fee because this beach is located within a national park.

Eagle Beach, Aruba

Eagle Beach is among Aruba’s loveliest stretches of shore, surrounded by dramatic fofoti trees and a smattering of coconut trees and sea grapes. The pristine white sands and beautiful blue oceans tick all the best-beach criteria, while thatched palapas provide welcome shade.

Turtles nest along this appealing stretch of coast during the season but stay away from their designated nests.

Go to the southern portion of the beach, away from the Jet Skis, for a more tranquil experience. The two renowned fofoti trees at the beach’s northern end, framed by a beautiful turquoise ocean, provide an excellent photo opportunity.

Varadero Beach, Cuba

Varadero, Cuba’s most famous beach, is 20 kilometers of exquisite eye candy for beach lovers. The powder-soft beaches are dotted with palapa huts, the ocean shimmers in electric blue hues, and palm trees arch elegantly along its border.

Some of Cuba’s top resorts, most of them all-inclusive, lure package travelers from all over the world, but there is ample room for everyone.

The most popular water sports on the island are snorkeling, SCUBA diving, swimming, windsurfing, and kayaking.

Varadero attractions, such as crystal-encrusted caves, wildlife parks, and even swimming with dolphins, are all easily accessible from these sun-kissed sands.
