Want to know what to do in Kelowna, British Columbia? Have no fear; we’ve got you covered. On our way from Vancouver to Revelstoke, we stopped at the Okanagan Valley, one of our most beloved parts of British Columbia. It had been a while since we’d last been, but it didn’t take long to remember why so many people were making a move to Kelowna.
This town has a fantastic culinary scene, distilleries, and plenty of outdoor activities, in addition to the excellent wine culture. Put Kelowna at the top of your list when considering weekend trips from Vancouver or road trips around British Columbia.

Tour Of The Wineries In Kelowna
So far, we have only made it to the Summerhill Pyramid Winery. The fact that this vineyard practices biodynamic agriculture was a significant selling point for me. They showed us every step of the process, from planting the grapes to aging them in a real on-site pyramid, which they think imparts specific energy to the wine. Several guided wine tours in Kelowna include lunch and stops at many wineries if you’d rather not drive alone. If you want to act like you own the property, you can take a helicopter flight of the vineyards or a wine tour in a chauffeured vintage automobile.

Myra Gorge
The Kettle Valley Rail Trail is 650 kilometers long, stretching from Hope to Castlegar; however, the most breathtaking scenery may be seen at Myra-Bellevue Provincial Park, located just outside Kelowna. Visit the 18 trestle bridges that cling to the walls of Myra Canyon by foot or bike. Two remarkable railway tunnels have been cut through the canyon walls, providing spectacular vistas along the route. Go for a hike first thing in the morning, or hire a bike from one of the many vendors that set up shop at the trailhead beginning at 9:00 a.m.
