South Korean Spots with Intense Fall Colors

A period of three months is considered autumn in Seoul (South Korea). September marks the beginning, and over the next two months, the leaves gradually change color and it’s the season of Fall Foliage in South Korea. Autumn will officially be done by the end of November. Most, if not all, of the leaves have already fallen from the trees, and the chilly winds call for scarves, boots, and thicker clothing. During Fall Colours in South Korea, the leaves turn their shades into yellowish, green, and red and add a glorious and soothing effect to the environment. It is observed in many places where the views become eye-catching and the striking beauty is like heaven on earth.

1.  Bukhansan National Park:

 

The mountains to the north of the Han River are known as Bukhansan. The park has granite peaks, temples, and forested areas. Northeastern South Korea is where Bukhansan National Park is situated. The area of the national park is 30.86 square miles (79.92 sq km). The cultural experience present in Bukhansan includes temples. The rocky mountains that make up the park are surrounded by vegetation. Although Baegundae is the highest mountain at 2,744 feet (836.5 m), the entire region is pretty amazing. During the fall foliage in South Korea, the leaves change their color into red, orange, and yellow which makes the mountain look more beautiful and the scenery is highly aesthetic.

2.  Deoksugung Palace:

 

Another place having fall colors in South Korea is Deoksugung Palace. The palace grounds feature both Western-style structures and traditional royal structures from the Joseon era. Within the grounds of the palace is the National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art, Deoksugung, which presents several exhibitions. The historical landmark no. 124 in Jeongdong is Deoksugung Palace, a palace from the Joseon Dynasty. Prince Wolsan, King Seongjong of the Joseon empire’s older brother, was the original owner of Deoksugung Palace. Just after the Japanese invasion, it functioned as King Seonjo’s interim residence before being renamed Gyeonghuigung Palace during the reign of King Gwanghaegun. The peaceful houses and autumn leaves provide the prettiest autumnal scenery. It’s very lovely how the driveway covered in autumn leaves winds through Deoksugung Palace.

3.  Samcheongdong:

This location is essentially where the Bukchon Hanok Village in Seoul is thought to be located. It’s the ideal setting for wearing traditional Korean attire. Even if you don’t want to wear a hanbok, it will be a fantastic backdrop to watch so many people snapping pictures while wearing hanboks in the fall. These lovely dresses are ideal to wear in the chilly season. Beautiful traditional Korean hanoks and some autumnal foliage may be seen in the background. It is an attractive location with beautiful Fall foliage in South Korea which is found close to Gyeongbokgung Palace. Samcheongdong is a popular tourist destination where people come from various regions to observe the beautiful colors of fall.

4.  Namsan Tower:

 

Namsan, a small piece of nature smacked amid Seoul, is a well-liked vacation spot for both residents and foreign visitors. The mountain is well-known for its lovely hiking trails, which let tourists get up close to the native fauna and take in the cityscape. When fall arrives, Namsan is covered in brilliant golden and red leaves, making it the most panoramic view of the city. Seoul’s Namsan, or South Mountain, is a mountain that rises north of the Han River. The trees at Namsan were at their most vibrant with hues of gold, ochre, vermillion, and orange. The peak can be reached by cable car.

5.  Gyeongju:

 

You don’t need to climb any steep mountains to get to Gyeongju because it is a city located in a corner of North Gyeongsang Province. Gyeongju offers much more than just beautiful fall foliage views. You get the whole deal because this area is brimming with historical landmarks and other wonderful places to explore! Some of the most popular tourist destinations in Gyeongju having beautiful Fall foliage in South Korea include Seokguram Temple, Donggung Palace, Bulguska temple, etc. These places have a great essence of fall colors in South Korea and provide colorful autumn with many beautifully colored plants and leaves.

If you want to witness autumn at its best,  you must visit South Korea as it is the true soul of fall foliage in a very colorful manner. The everlasting beauty adds much more joy to the person visiting there. One fell in love with it after visiting there once. Seoul truly depicts the true beauty that we could ever see. The splendid sight of perfectly shaped red maple leaves softly spiraling to the ground and joining the yellow carpet can be seen. Every season has advantages, but fall is the time to see the multi-color brilliance of the surrounding vegetation change into a crimson and orange paradise.
