In 2022, Italy will be featured, so expect to see several sets and stages designed to look like well-known structures in Italy. What will be the focal point in terms of appearance? Anybody may make speculations.

Karneval in Cologne
The six-day celebration of Karneval in Cologne, which begins on the Thursday before Valentine’s Day and continues until the Tuesday after the holiday, is like one big costume party. On the first day, the festivities begin with a boisterous street parade through the middle of town, attended by people decked out in crazy costumes and accompanied by music blasting from every bar and brewery in the area. Wurstmarkt in Bad Dürkheim
Over half a million people attend Wurstmarkt on the first and third weekends of September to celebrate wine and wurst, two of Germany’s most well-known commodities (sausage). As early as the 12th century, farmers and winemakers of Bad Dürkheim were selling their wares to pilgrims making their way to Michaelskapelle (St. Michael’s Chapel) as part of this annual folk festival. It has evolved into a modern-day fair with tens of thousands of vendors, amusement rides, fireworks, and wineries. Durkheim Riesenfass, a giant wine barrel with a restaurant within, is a popular place to eat and drink during Wurstmarkt.
Rhein in Flammen in Koblenz
Fireworks and parades of ships light up the night sky along the Rhine during the annual Rhein in Flammen celebration. About 75 lit ships travel the Rhine as part of the event, which runs from May through September each year. Even on dry ground, the nighttime fireworks displays are sure to be a spectacle. Concerts, food and wine festivals, and other activities are held at Ehrenbreitstein Fortress and the Deutsches Eck during Rhein in Flammen in May.
World Club Dome
When it comes to electronic dance music (EDM), World Club Dome is one of Europe’s most significant events. The energy is through the roof with the world’s top DJs and mind-bending light shows.
