The Institute for Economics and Peace has recently completed its survey on European countries. They have announced the top five peaceful countries in the world. They define a nation “with peace” when that country and its adjacent states face minimal conflicts and ferocity.

Safety is the best thing that these countries offer to their visitors and as well as locals. Here, we have listed down those five peaceful countries on the planet with unique features:

Iceland

Iceland is a landscape of hot springs. Undoubtedly you can say that Icelandic people are the most peaceful inhabitants worldwide. It is not surprising because Iceland obtained the first position among all other peaceful countries by the IEP.

The scenery is enough to ease your stress, anxieties, depression, and sadness. The relaxing gesture of Iceland offers the beauty of The Blue Lagoon. It is a geothermal spa and the nation’s most significant destination, containing hot water at 98-102 degrees.

Iceland houses Seljalandsfoss Falls pouring down from 200 feet above the surface. It is true, that only some visitors are lucky to witness the miraculous scene of northern light emerging behind the cascading flow. Iceland surprises visitors with the enchanted view of aurora borealis.

Denmark

Denmark was nominated for the second position in respect of peaceful places. Besides this, this country boasts another title, “happiest nation.” Visiting one of the delighted countries under heaven and heading to Arhus will be an exciting journey along the coastline.

The way to an old Danish town is full of forests, fjords, Viking rue stones, and ancient architecture. The town, Danish Riviera, lies on the northern side of Copenhagen. It is famous for informative museums, magnificent fortresses, and blissful beaches. On the other side, Funen Island is a stunning gateway with forts, colorful gardens, and an estate.

When you are in Copenhagen, you can enjoy the serenity and solitude ambiance far away from bustling cities. The most peaceful scene is the King’s Garden, a good picnic spot for all.

Austria

Whether it is the musical scene at Vienna’s Musikverein or the tasty treat of Sacher tortes (the most popular chocolate) at Café Sacher, one name will hit your head, and that is Austria. This relaxing country is the third-most tranquil nation across the globe.

This place has minimal political confrontments and violence. Even this country believes in equal distribution of income. Austrian should thank the administration which keeps this place in this beneficial way.

For visitors, Austria offers delightful villages and smoky mountains. Even the Austrian Alps is the most attractive point for tourists. Here you can enjoy mountaineering and marvelous skiing along the mountain’s cliffs.

Innsbruck is a prominent place in Austria. It houses Swarovski Crystal World (a place for fun activities) and the Alpenzoo (the highest altitude zoo in Europe).

New Zealand

New Zealand is one of the halcyon countries in the world. Its scenic landscape holds the most breathtaking views in the world. Here nature exhibits arduous coastlines, lofty mountains, lakes, alpine glaciers, laid-back beaches, and waterfalls.

This country is also famous for its heart-crushing adventures and thrilling environment. Here you can explore super-exciting adventures like; bungee jumping, water rafting, bridge climbing, jet boating, caving, and sky diving. Alongside, you can go for more tender pursuits like; fishing and bush walking.

Another spot for unfolding spectacular beauty is the firefly cave. The ceiling and walls enlighten the cave with the smoldering green and blue fairy lights. Even the stalagmite and stalactite stunning scene will be the best view ever. From here, you can go on a maze-by boat journey with the only flashing light of a firefly in your way.

Finland

Finland is a delightful country that indulgences your youthfulness and kinks. This happy country will be a perfect gateway if you want to experience the unprecedented beauty of northern light. Also, this country is home to Santa Clause Village, where you can meet your childhood fantasy Santa.

This village can give you a chance to enjoy the starry sky above the fascinating light aurora under the glass igloo. If you stay in Kakslauttanen Arctic Resort, you will be a part of this fantastic night adventure. On the flip side, if you visit this country in summer, your must-visit places should be native towns like; Hanko. It is the right spot to enjoy outdoor activities such as; cycling, surfing, and diving.

Finland is not only a forest land, but its diverse beauty offers spectacular views of thousands of lakes. Also, this country holds the most water in respect of land of all other countries across the globe. Nonetheless, you can say the Finnish term “Jokamiehen Oikeudet.” It means “Everyman’s Right.” Finland makes this term worthwhile by giving freedom to meander around nature wherever a visitor wishes to go.

Some people say peace comes with a smile. But those who are the residents of these peaceful countries mentioned above will tell you the definition of peace in another way for sure.
