Top 5 Things to Do in Costa Rica (Part-1)

Spread the love

In the past, retirees flocked to Costa Rica for its low cost of living, lush rainforest, and peaceful beaches. This previously concealed information is no longer concealed.

The increasing number of visitors visiting Costa Rica shows that the country is finally getting the recognition it deserves. The country’s high degree of safety and ecological variety make it an excellent vacation spot.

To be sure, Costa Rica is among the most advanced countries in the region. There are a lot of English speakers in Costa Rica, so getting about should be easy.

The best part, though? Once you arrive there, you’ll find a lot to do. We are travel junkies that have a special place in our hearts for the Caribbean, and we have compiled a list of the top five activities to do when visiting Costa Rica. Check out the following to learn more about our best recommendations.

The Tortuguero Turtle Reserve

The turtles of Tortuguero have made it a tourist destination in their own right. Tortuguero means “land of turtles” because of the abundance of these animals there. This explains why Tortuguero is such a fantastic location for turtle viewing. August is peak turtle nesting time, so if you decide to come, then would be the best time. This will give you the best chance of seeing the several turtle species that make Tortuguero their home. Not only do 111 different kinds of reptiles call this location home, but several monkey species call this place their home.

Take a guided excursion to a beach in Tortuguero to view hundreds of turtles breeding in the sand. A turtle egg may even hatch in front of your own eyes! If you’re willing to put in the additional time and money, it’s well worth it to make the journey by boat or aircraft to get there.

Try Out Zip-Lining

Costa Rica is the best place in the world to go zip-lining. The little country is well-known for its breathtaking scenery and long cables that pass over some of the world’s greenest jungles.

The best places to go ziplining in Costa Rica are Monteverde, Guanacaste, and Fortuna. Whether you are an experienced zip-liner or taking the kids on vacation makes no difference. Many people may enjoy the zip-lining trips available in Costa Rica.

In La Fortuna, adjacent to Arenal Volcano, the EcoGlide offers a thrilling zipline trip through the jungle and breathtaking views of the mountain and surrounding slopes.

The Tarzan Swing is an amazing highlight of this trip, sending you soaring into the trees.

This crazy excursion in Monteverde has longer and quicker wires. If you’re too scared to continue, the zipline tour is conveniently broken up into segments from which you can walk back to the starting point. The best parts are in the last two zones, where you can fly like Superman.

Visit Manuel Antonio National Park’s Beaches and Wildlife

Compared to the other national parks in Costa Rica, Manuel Antonio stands out as exceptional due to its stunning natural beauty. The Pacific Ocean laps at this point on the coast of Costa Rica, which is a landlocked country. Cathedral Point, a strangely curved finger of land with beautiful sandy beaches on each side that eventually lead to a verdant jungle, is the area’s main draw. The park’s entrance is just a short distance from some of Costa Rica’s most stunning beaches.

A wide variety of animals call Manuel Antonio National Park home. The park is home to over a hundred different types of birds and many different kinds of monkeys, including the white-faced monkey and the howler monkey.

See Nauyaca Waterfalls

The Nauyaca Waterfalls, located inland from Playa Dominical, are a pair of spectacular waterfalls. The neighbouring forest, home to monkeys and macaws, only adds to the area’s natural beauty. The main falls spill into a dangerously deep pool, while the lower falls feature a lovely swimming hole. You may ride a horse there, take a stroll, or do what we did and hitch a ride on the back of a pickup truck. You should go there early to avoid the crowd and see the falls peacefully.

Keep an eye out for local animals if you go to the waterfalls. If you work up a sweat making your way to the walls, cooling down in the lower falls is just what the doctor ordered. The Nauyaca Waterfalls are a must-see if you’re in Costa Rica, and they’re accessible by foot, horseback, or vehicle.

Visit Coffee Shops

The Costa Rican people are known for their warmth and kindness, and their coffee is famous worldwide. The climate of Costa Rica is perfect for growing coffee beans, resulting in high-quality coffee exports. The best way to see Costa Rica’s vibrant culture is to go on a coffee tour.

You may tour a coffee farm and learn all about the interesting process of growing coffee, or you can sample some of the best coffees the farm has to offer. Explore the plantation in comfort and style at one of the farm’s posh boutique hotels. If you decide to go to the Monteverde Cloud Forest, you should also check out the plantations.

Over 2 million tourists flock to this Central American country every year in quest of adventure, animals, and pristine wilderness. Great beaches, verdant jungles, and exotic animals are just some of the attractions of Costa Rica. Planning a trip to Costa Rica might take a lot of work to narrow down the options since the nation packs so much into such a tiny area.
