Top 5 Most Beautiful Islands You Must Visit In The World (Part 2)

Spread the love

Why do you think islands are so exceptional? They have numerous things that pique our interest, such as beautiful sunsets, exotic wildlife, and white sand beaches. Though it may seem easy, finding an island for your next trip may be a difficult task. Not to worry; we’ve compiled a list of the world’s top five most beautiful islands.

Scottish Isles

White sand beaches with a turquoise sea are rare, yet they may be found in the Scottish Isles. The Scottish Isles are a magnificent alternative for island hopping. They include activities like whisky tasting, mountain climbing, and picturesque drives along the coast to appeal to a wide range of tourists.

Of Scotland’s more than 790 islands, only around 90 are inhabited, and those are concentrated in the Hebrides and Northern Isles.

The Orkney Islands are a UNESCO World Heritage Site because they are home to some of Europe’s best surviving Neolithic monuments. From the magnificent city of Edinburgh to the Orkney Islands of Skye, Insight Vacations takes you on a journey through eight thousand years of history.

Seychelles

Seychelles are 115 islands in the Indian Ocean off the eastern coast of Africa. Seychelles’ powdery white-sand beaches are among the world’s most stunning, and the island nation’s turquoise seas are among the clearest. Two thousand plant species, 1,000 fish, and 12 bird species are unique to this island’s natural environment.

Sea life in Seychelles is quite diverse. There are six marine national parks on this island. Notably, the coral reefs of Seychelles are entirely untouched. Seychelles’ tallest mountain, Morne Seychellois, may be found in the Seychellois national park on the island of Mahe. Its elevation is 905 metres. Mangrove trees along the shore are another habitat protected by this national park. Visitors may also use the park’s wide hiking paths in addition to all these other attractions.

Ibiza, Spain

Whether you arrive by boat or a helicopter above the beach parties, you will find the island’s atmosphere so captivating that you won’t want to leave.

Even though Ibiza is best known as a party island where celebrities and tourists alike come to let loose at day clubs and beach clubs with DJs and raucous nightlife, the island also has a more quiet and romantic side, complete with peaceful sandy coves and pine-clad hills, picturesque villages full of charm, and yoga retreats.

San Antonia is free for the young, while Old Ibiza Town caters to Mediterranean natives and visitors. Visit the original Café del Mar to see the sun go down. As a bonus, Formentera is a picture-perfect island that could easily be visited in a day. The Ibiza and Beyond tour by Contiki includes all of these activities and more.

Crete, Greece

In Greece, Crete stands out as both the biggest and one of the most beautiful islands. If you’re looking for a reason to book a flight to Crete, look no further than the island’s paradisiacal beaches and turquoise seas. You may be surprised that Crete has more than 650 kilometres of shoreline. This stunning island has pristine, deserted beaches. Crete’s mountains, valleys, and gorges are nothing short of spectacular.

Numerous canyons and gorges dot the Cretan countryside. Fortunately, there is a tonne of groups that provide fantastic opportunities for climbing. The island’s high mountain ranges are also a major draw, with the White Mountains, the Ida range, and the Dikti Range being particularly well-known.

In case you’re a fan of waterfalls, Crete is the destination for you. You may find hundreds upon hundreds of breathtaking waterfalls around these islands. More than 2,000 plant species have been identified on the Greek island of Crete. There are about 300 species that can’t be found anywhere else. Crete’s many natural wonders include forests, stunning islands, and jaw-dropping caverns.

Martha’s Vineyard, America

Martha’s Vineyard is a tiny island off the coast of Massachusetts, a perfect place to unwind. Edgartown is great for seeing some historic architecture. Aquinnah has some of the best beaches in the country, and Chappaquiddick has a fascinating past; these charming communities are worth exploring.

The island of Martha’s Vineyard has been a family holiday destination for the Kennedys and the Obamas for decades. Boston, Cape Cod, and Martha’s Vineyard are three of Trafalgar’s most popular destinations, and for a good reason.

Everyone here agrees that 2022 wasn’t the year we were expecting. We had to delay several vacations and trips to remote islands to catch our breath. Instead, we imagined ourselves in exotic locales, spoke about our favourite island vacations, and reminisced about our time spent communicating in a foreign country.

When the borders finally open, and we can finally hop on a boat to the next island and set foot on its white sands or pebbled beaches, gaze at its pink sunsets and orange sunrises, and breathe in its salty air, you can bet that we’ll do it with a renewed sense of wonder and appreciation.
